Locket is made of sterling silver. During wartimes there were restrictions on the use of silver and other metals. This is a very sturdy piece, 17.2 g it is in vintage condition, a few scratches, oxidation makes this a classic! The hinge opens and closes and the clasp works perfectly. A wonderful piece, it will polish nicely for a sentimental gift or part of a wartime collection.
