This is a used copy of the "Encyclopedia of Toys of the World" published in 1989 by Iwasaki Bijutsu-sha.

The author of this book, Shinsaku Tada, is a leading Japanese art education researcher.

In his later years, he was also active as a Japanese toy researcher and children's play researcher.

The co-author, Chihiro Tada, is his daughter.

This encyclopedia compiles traditional toys from around the world in approximately 300 pages.

There are classifications by material, and explanations of how to play with the toys.
