In fact, the new York based Star-Art company existed for about 40 years – from the 1940s to the 1980s.
As a rule, Star art craftsmen used sterling silver and gold (indicated on the stamp), sometimes wired coating that gave silver strength and prevented oxidation. An important element of design included filigree details. Also, transparent crystals, multi-color rhinestones, or art glass imitating natural gems.
