Vintage blue square pedestal cake stand in the Recollection pattern by Indiana Glass.
Mid-sized footed riser is crafted of pressed evening blue glass with an embossed scroll design on the underside and squared, scalloped rim.
The round center well is about 8 1/4" for tortes or cakes up to 7 1/2" in diameter.
Indiana's Recollection pattern is a reproduction of a reproduction of Federal Glass's original 1930s Madrid pattern.
Federal glass reissued Madrid in 1976 under the name Recollection & added a "76" to the mold.
Subsequently, Federal Glass closed and Indiana Glass purchased the mold circa 1979 & removed the "76."
This versatile glass piece is perfect for serving layer cakes, pastries, chocolate dipped strawberries, or appetizers on the sideboard!
In excellent preowned condition w/no damage.
