In 1989 (Heisei 1), monsters from Marusan and Bullmark were reissued by Tsuburaya Kaiju Tomo no Kai and Bandai.
Although they were popular, they were items for those who wanted to obtain what they had as children and indulge in nostalgia.
Before anyone knew it, the items became very popular due to the figure boom and the treasure boom.
The world entered the first sofubi boom.
More than 30 years have passed since then, and retro sofubi, which began with M1's Kemur Man, is now a worldwide boom.
This book introduces over 2,400 types of Ultra Kaiju retro sofubi standard sizes, the most in history, including Bullmark reissues and various companies' creations, and includes an interview with Mr. Saburo Ishizuki, the father of Kaiju sofubi.
It also features the world of Marusan & Bullmark original Kaiju sofubi and how Kaiju sofubi are made.
