The Intel 1851 Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB V1 features a jet system on the cooler's surface, and the slot width of the cooling channels has been optimized. The cooler?s cold plate is made of nickel-plated copper and is mounted directly onto the CPU chip. To do this, the motherboard?s Integrated Loading Mechanism (ILM) must be removed, and the CPU must be delidded. The nickel coating on the cooler plate acts as a barrier to prevent gallium-based liquid metal from diffusing into the copper, making multiple applications of liquid metal generally unnecessary.

Between the cold plate and the anodized aluminum lid is acrylic, which undergoes a tempering process after milling to relieve internal stress. This ensures that stress cracks do not form in the acrylic over time, unlike tempered acrylic. RGB LEDs are located under the aluminum lid, controllable via a 3-pin ARGB header (????) on the motherboard. These LEDs illuminate the acrylic under the lid and the G1/4-inch fittings on the lid.

KryoSheet Usage Note

The Intel 1851 Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB V1 has been extensively tested internally in various scenarios. During development, the focus was placed on ensuring stable operation of the processor and memory. The Intel 1851 Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB V1 is mounted in such a way that the cooler?s outer edges do not rest on the motherboard. In our test series, KryoSheet combined with the Intel 1851 Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB V1 did not provide significant improvements in temperature and posed issues with contact pressure. Therefore, we do not recommend thermal pads, as their additional thickness significantly affects contact pressure, which can impact performance.

Compatibility Notice

The Intel 1851 Mycro Direct-Die Pro RGB V1 is only compatible with Intel CPU's that use the LGA 1851 socket.

Caution: Removing the heat spreader (delidding) of a processor is done at your own risk! Delidding the CPU will void the manufacturer?s warranty! Damage caused during delidding is not covered by the manufacturer?s warranty.

Removing the motherboard's Integrated Loading Mechanism (ILM) may void the motherboard manufacturer?s warranty!
