Dave Richardson, Lester Johnson and Clifton Knight were a talented R&B vocal trio from Los Angeles, California, that mainly recorded and performed as The Invincibles. The group recorded for various labels throughout the late 1960s, including Loma, Ciray, Double-Shot, Rampart and Stardom. They also recorded a standalone single as The Soul Gents on the small Fros Ray label. The Soul Gents 45 is exceedingly rare and highly prized by collectors of deep soul and rare groove records. Originally released in 1968, "If I Should Win Your Love" b/w "Wonders Of Love" features a gorgeous ballad on the A-side featuring a full sophisticated production including a string section and swelling vocal chorus. The excellent B-side, "Wonders Of Love," is a funky, upbeat, horn driven number that also features excellent vocal asides from the talented trio of singers. This rare gem is presented here lovingly remastered and finally made available in the digital domain
