First American edition, first printing hardcover copy of The Collectors by Philippe Jullian (Charles E. Tuttle Company, 1970). With illustrations throughout by the author. Classic work of humorous / satirical fiction, whose critique of society is as relevant as ever. Price clipped jacket is protected in archival sleeve but with some mild rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges. New publisher-issued price sticker adhered to top right corner of front liner flap. Boards are straight and clean but with corners bumped. Binding is split at page 176 but all pages remain attached, spine is fairly straight and binding is otherwise firm. Red remainder mark to bottom outer edge of text block, otherwise all pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
