This second-generation cine prime lens employs a 6-group, 7-element design for improved image quality. The Cine II 50mm is a fast lens with an open aperture of F1.1, weighing less than a pound, and creating a shallow depth of field.
It features cine-style characteristics such as geared focus and aperture rings, a smooth clickless iris for aperture adjustments, and a 13-blade iris for rounded bokeh. Also, the front of the lens does not rotate, allowing for the use of optional accessories such as polarizing filters and clip-on matte boxes.
