A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a combination of a Gutlehrdorn and an Ausschusslehrdorn, with the latter marked by a red ring. The good side of the Gewindelehrdorn should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand without excessive force. If it doesn't, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (rejected). The reject side can screw in up to two turns by hand without excessive force. If it goes further, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (rejected). The reference temperature for the workpieces and gauges is 20°C. VÖLKEL offers a factory calibration certificate upon request. Calibration is done in an independent lab following DIN, ISO, ANSI standards on IAC-Gewindescanner.
