A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side, marked by a red ring, should not screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand without extra force. If it does, the thread fails to meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The Gut side should screw in by hand without extra force. If it doesn't, the thread is subpar. The maximum allowable turns for the Ausschuss side is two. Beyond that, the thread is unacceptable. The reference temperature for parts and gauges is 20°C. VÖLKEL offers a Werkskalibrierschein upon request. Calibration, following set norms (DIN, ISO, ANSI), takes place in an independent lab on IAC-Gewindescanner.
