It's made of High-Speed Steel (HSS) for enhanced durability, featuring a Bright, Steam Oxide surface treatment to boost mechanical lubricity. The Spiral Point design is ideal for through-hole applications, while the TiCN coating further improves wear resistance, extending tap life. Key dimensions include a 3/8-inch thread size, 16 threads per inch, and a 2B +0.005" class of fit. It's a 3-flute tap with a right-hand cutting direction, no coolant through, and a 0-degree helix angle. Measures 2.938 inches in overall length, with a 1.276-inch neck length and a 0.381-inch shank diameter. It's a plug (4.5P) chamfer type with no interrupted thread.
