Edward Doylerush The author was born in Thingwall, Cheshire in 1929 and moved to Rhos-on-Sea at the age of ten. Educated at Colwyn Bay Grammar School he joined the school Air Training Corps Squadron and his first experience of lying was in a Halifax bomber.
