Two iconic designs from NIKE AIR history merge!
Approximately 20 years after the birth of the first "AIR MAX 1" in 1987, the "AIR MAX 360" debuted in 2006. The visible air unit covering the heel to the toe was set at 15 psi, and the midsole removed the conventional polyurethane material, designed to directly feel the "AIR". The reinforcement cage uses Pebax material to provide excellent stability and lightness. The innovative design, inspired by the cutting-edge aerospace industry, cleared the 20-year-old goal of running on air at a high level.
A new hybrid model is released for 2020. The sole unit of the "AIR VAPORMAX," which made a sensational debut in 2017, is combined with the upper design of the "AIR MAX 360." This is reminiscent of the design concept of "ONE TIME ONLY" in 2006, where past Air Max models had their sole units swapped. The lineup includes the "original color" with a white base and red accents, and a modern silver. The iridescent Swoosh shines, and "2020" is engraved on the eyestay. Two models that shine brightly in the history of "AIR" innovation are fused to create a new style, making this a noteworthy creation.
Scheduled to be released at Nike retailers in Japan from January 30, 2020. Price is ¥24,750 (tax included).
