1824 Dr. J. G. B. Siegert invents his world famous recipe for Aromatic Bitters. He used his elixir to cure soldier's stomach ailments. Siegert starts to export Angostura Aromatic Bitters to England, The Caribbean and to the United States
1909 the partnership of J. G. B. Siegert & Hijos was converted into a public liability company. Dr. J. G. B. & Sons Limited was formed. The company remained by that name until 1992 when the company changes the name to Angostura Limited.
