We work with the best Mexican craftsmen who specialize in traditional Talavera pottery. The tiles are abrasion resistant and even with deeper scratches the pattern is still visible, as the individual colors are contained in the glazing. Each tile is first coated with a primer - a base color, and then each color of the pattern is applied separately. After firing, the tiles obtain their final color, as well as their extraordinary resistance. Depending on delivery the shade may vary a little and have more bordeaux, maroon, cherry. The hand-painting of the tiles and the characteristics of the technique itself mean that the individual colors on the tiles are not uniform, the edges are not always the perfect shape, and this makes the tiles look rustic and original.
