Massive Reticulated Sterling Silver Ring Vintage Size 6.75

Creating this ring requires mastery of the silversmithing craft. Each tiny dot on the setting surface was once a small piece of sheet or wire, melted to create the tiny orb. After that, each little bead has to be assembled onto the setting in order to create the texture. The next step if difficult, fuse the form without melting the whole thing.

The reticulated or beaded setting is conical in an east-west oval. It measures 13/16 inches (20mm) by 5/8 inch (16mm).

The center rises 1/2 inch (12mm) above the hand.

The band is 3/16 inch (6mm) wide.

The total approximate weight of this solid sterling silver ring is 15.5 grams. It is substantial.

There are no marks, it looks like it was sized and the stamp was lost. It was carefully tested to verify the silver content. It is estimated to have been made in Thailand sometime in the early 2000s.

This unusual statement ring is in excellent condition, with a light patina.
