Vintage Large Oval Ceramic Yellow Bird Footed Soup Tureen Ladle Underplate Italy EUC
Excellent condition / looks new! No chips, no cracks, no fading, no repairs, not a detectible scratch on any piece!
This beauty! Not sure what color to call it, it's in the yellow family. Perhaps marigold or goldenrod (color reminds me of those carbon copy papers). Can't find another one like anywhere online - searched high and low! I did find some soup bowls with this pattern.
There are no markings, but based on my research, this appears to have been made in Italy. I can't say age, but has the style of 1950s or 60s (perhaps earlier).
Approximate Measurements (to nearest 1/4 of an inch):
Platter (or underplate, if you will)... 15 x 11,75 inches
Ladle: 10.5 inches top to bottom. Serving part is about 4.5 inches across the top and about 1.5 inches deep
Tureen (without the lid): 14 inches across handle end to handle end. About 6 inches tall. Add the lid and we're looking at about 10 inches
