Here is a listing for this Percy Tsisete Sandy, (1918-1974), watercolor and gouache, of a horse fending off a snake. Nicely matted and framed, measures 20 1/2" x 17". Signed by the artist, lower right. In very good overall condition.
Percy Sandy was a Zuni Pueblo artist , born in 1918. He signed his paintings with his native name Kai-Sa, meaning Red Moon.
Some of his paintings are in the Smithsonian art museum, the Delaware art museum, and the Minneapolis institute of art, and many others.
