This is a set of 8 DVDs from the anime series "Ikkyu-san," specifically volumes 2 through 9 of the complete 10-volume set.
Ikkyu-san tells the story of a clever Buddhist monk who lived during the Muromachi period. The shogun who appears in the story is Yoshimitsu Ashikaga, who built Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion).
This is a highly entertaining work that adults will also find impressive, as it conveys the way of life, thinking, language, and the importance of things during the Muromachi period, which I want to pass on to children of the Reiwa era.
My child became very interested in history after watching this anime.
Please note that this item is stored by a private individual. As shown in the photos, the cases may have some discoloration, and volume 3 is missing the DVD operation instructions. The DVDs play without issue, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned, as this is a used item.
I am unable to sell these DVDs individually.
