stunning Hofbauer Red Bird Byrdes Crystal Covered Cheese Dish/Butter dish made in W. German, 24% Lead new with label still attached. Beautiful connected rings on the lid with amazing cuts and designs on this crystal piece. Panels on the sides of the lid with red flashing with the cut bird designs. Also on the center of the plate is the same stunning red flashing with the cut bird design as well. Saw tooth edge on the plate with thumb print indentations on the sides.
I have looked over this set closely and do not see or feel and chips, cracks or damage. This is a very heavy piece that weights just under 3 pounds before packaging and shipping materials.
With the lid on this piece stands approx. 6" high, 1-1/4" high with the lid off, approx. 7-1/4" across (under plate).
