In addition, SCI Materials Hub can customize graphite felts with different hydrophobicity and different microporous layer loads according to user needs.

• - Microporous layer hydrophobic (PTFE or FEP): 1-60wt%, microporous layer carbon black can be Vulcan XC-72, Vulcan XC-72R, Ketjenblack EC-300J, Ketjenblack EC-600JD or user specified.
• - Microporous layer additional load: 1-10 mg/cm2 (1 mg/cm2 standard)
• - Ionomer treatment: Nafion ionization can be used for PEM applications to improve water management and membrane adhesion; For alkaline electrolyzed water applications can be treated with Fumion, PiperION ionomers; For alkaline carbon dioxide electrodes, Fumion, PiperION, Sustainion ionomers can be used; or user-formulated. Hydrophobic microporous carbon paper treated with alkaline ionomer can improve hydroxide ion transfer at the membrane and electrode interface to a certain extent.
