Vintage 1960s Retro Mid Century Modern Esco Style plaster or chalkware figurine by California artist and sculptor Michael "Mike" McKie. This figure was part of The Uglies series, clay people produced for the public in a plaster mold, then sold unpainted to hobby and craft shops. A contemporary article says, "What distinguishes them from other adorable, 'cutesy' statuettes ... is that they are downright ugly."

This pool, billiards, or snookers playing figure is titled Damn Cheap Cue-Ball! and features a red-eyed pointed nose fellow looking skyward. He's losing his pants on the back side, which reveals a bandaged butt. The back is signed copyright 1969 M.C. McKie. Likely part of the Hustler Series of similiar statues.

Vintage as-found condition with a crack or possible repair around the ankles and a few small chips, as is common with the material. Appears to be missing a piece, perhaps the cue stick, in his hands. About 6 1/2" tall, 3 1/2" wide, and 2 3/4" deep.
