A fine example of a nice high quality Herkimer Diamond Floater from the Turtle Clan Mine in Fonda, NY. A five hundred million year old work of art from Mother Nature.
The black inclusions are Anthraxolite.
However there could be a secondary inclusion of what I think is either Goethite or Marcasite. This came out of a pocket that produced some fascinating specimens that contained inclusions of Marcasite, Goethite and Hematite. This is the only pocket in this mines history that has produced inclusions like this.
