Yes, this plant is real, it is alive and rooted. Also known as Austrocylindropuntia subulata - a non-spiny but fuzzy relative of Eve's needle. The leaves are awl-like and green-yellow and can grow up to 5 inches on a mature plant. It grows up to 13 feet in the native habitat but much smaller in cultivation.
You're getting the multi-clustered plant in this picture. The cup planter is not included with the price. Add $8 to cover extra shipping if you covet the entire plant and planter (has drainage hole, 6-ounce cup). Default is the live plant bare-root.
Bright light - direct sun keeps the spokes red. Keep in well-ventilated location if placed indoors for the winter season.
