Brass (Gold tone) Rosewood Oyster Forks Thailand 1950 Vintage 8pc +cutlery rolls

This is a set of 8 vintage brass (gold tone) and rosewood oyster forks from Thailand, dating back to the 1950s. Each fork features a dark brown wood handle with a brass tip and brass tines. They are marked Thailand and have a definite Asian style.These forks are meant for eating oysters and come with cutlery rolls for storage.

They were sold by a local jeweler in Jacksonville that was in business in the 50's, the absence of a zip code makes them pre-1963. They were once upon a time part of a full set and four of these forks are in the cutlery bag meant for the tea spoons. I bought them used about 30 years ago, they've been unused in the back of a drawer for about 20 years now and definitely need some brass polish. We used to do oyster roasts and fish fries back in the day, the forks always made an impression at a backyard cookout when they were polished.
