Made of 100 percent pure Type B Viton, a high performance synthetic rubber. Specifically deisgned for use with peristaltic pumps, this tubing has excellent temperature resistance with an operating range of -40 F to 400 F continuously; 600 F periodically. It also offers the widest range of fluid and chemical resistance of any commercial rubber - oils, fuels, lubricants, most mineral acids, also resistant to many aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons such as carbon tetrachloride, benzene, toluene, and xylene. Viton has excellent resistance to environmental exposure such as sunlight and ozone. Other applications include fuel and oil lines, cable jacketing, solvents, chemical lines, hot lubrication, seals, and o-rings.
