▪️50s MERSON UNIFORMS Vintage Cardigan Navy Blue

Vintage from the 1950s, judging by the details and design.

【Size/Color】
Length (from the top of the tag): 70cm
Shoulder width (from the base of the sleeve to the base of the other sleeve): 51cm
Width (measured around the armpits): 53cm
Sleeve length (from the shoulder seam, unfolded): 61cm
Sleeve length (from the center of the neck to the cuff, unfolded): 84cm

I (165cm/53kg, slim build) could wear it with a good fit, the sleeves were folded up about halfway to my fingers.

Recommended for those around ~170cm, though it depends on preference and how you wear it!

【Condition】
There is a repair on the back hem as shown in the arrow image, but it's hardly noticeable unless pointed out.

There are also tiny moth-eaten spots, but they are not noticeable unless held up to the light.

The cuffs and neckline, which are prone to damage, are in good condition, and there is no sign of the knit thinning. (It was originally rather thin)

It's in good condition, even for those who are not fond of old vintage items.

【Remarks】
The zipper is a rare single-claw EMAR zipper.

The zipper top looks white in the image, but it's actually a slightly different color.

During a period of material shortages, non-metallic materials were often used for zipper tops, and this one seems to be made of Bakelite? (It's light), which is a specification from that period, and in any case, it's a very interesting detail.

It creates an interesting contrast between the gray of the body and the zipper itself.

Also, there are elbow patches on the sleeves.

Usually, leather or a different fabric is used, but

this one has the same fabric as the body on the inside, and it looks like it's just switched with stitching, a minimal design.

The fabric, details, and silhouette are all of such high quality that it could be mistaken for vintage Margiela.

The sleeves are cute whether folded or unfolded, and because it's thin and slim, it creates a neo-grunge balance when worn as an inner layer with a shirt, as shown in the image.
