This beautiful extraordinary piece of tribal art. It features 38 strands of small 2mm coral beads meeting in the center with a round raised disk inlaid with pieces of turquoise. The strands terminate with a woven area that comes together with a 1 Naya Paisa coin from India, dated 1961 and loop closure.
The necklace measures 22" with the coral beads draping lower than the centerpiece by about 2". It weighs 152 gms.
Each of the small beads shows individual shapes and slightly different sizes and are a uniform deep red color. The woven ends appear to be woven from a cotton or linen and show signs of having been worn.
